A little wander this morning. I overslept so missed the usual dip but the walk still did me good.

First dip of the month in some epic waves. Water was 1c warmer than air at 14c. Ace.

The River Mersey is between 1 and 3 miles wide, and yet only a narrow channel is safe for ships.
Y-Shaped Groyne – Liverpool Bay

As the tide goes out a y-shaped groyne is revealed on New Brighton beach.
7m ebbing tide – Liverpool Bay

Liverpool Bay just after a neap high tide of 7.55m. The sandbanks are submerged, as is most of the concrete groyne.
